Artist Biography
Midori has worked as a professional visual artist and community organizer for over 20 years and enjoys teaching students art through many types of mediums. Some of Midori’s specialties include drawing, painting, collage, photography, textiles, clay, mosaics, paper mache+constructions, recycled environmental art, and mobiles.
Teaching Philosophy
Midori believes art-making opens many opportunities for students to express, explore and interpret the world around them. Midori’s approach is process and associative learning which can create new ways of looking at materials and concepts.
