About the Artist

Marley, a fourth-generation Central Oregonian, is a lifelong artist rooted in community. Her multidisciplinary practice fosters play, curiosity, and new world creation.

Teaching Philosophy

Marley creates engaging learning spaces, fostering art appreciation and critical thinking. With one-on-one and group activities, she encourages problem-solving and collaboration, drawing from art history to break barriers.

Program Description

Students will use found and reclaimed objects such as clean recyclables, fabric and paper scraps, and craft materials to build a collaborative world!

In this program, students will come together to design a sustainable world made from "trash"! Together, they will brainstorm and establish group norms for their imaginary world, and dream-up what kind of features they would like to create (i.e. trees, beings, homes, care centers, etc.). Next, each student will build a component of the world - coming together as they complete their personal constructions in order to bring each piece together - creating a collaborative imaginary world.

In-Person	Residency Session	$86.00	30	Residency session prices are based on a 50 minute session. Some artists may prefer different session lengths and will pro-rate the cost.
In-Person	Workshop Session	$86.00	30	Workshops can be one or two sessions per class. Each session is 50 minutes long.
In-Person	Family Arts Night Workshop	$107.00		A 90 minute workshop for students and families, typically in the evening or on weekends.
In-Person	Teacher Workshop	$107.00		A 90 minute workshop for teachers.
	Planning Meeting	$57.00		An in person planning meeting with partnering teachers is required for residencies.
	Additional Planning	$57.00		Additional planning time with teachers or volunteers, etc.
	Prep Hours	$57.00		Time spent on activities in support of the program (e.g. setting up/cleaning a classroom, research, curriculum development, etc.)
	Mileage/Travel Costs			$0.65 per mile round trip from Bend, OR up to 60 miles. For greater distances, additional fees may apply.
	Materials Preparation Fee	$57.00		Time spent preparing materials outside of program days.
	Supplies			$2-4 per student for workshops and residencies. $1 per attendee for Family events.
	Wait Time	$57.00		Time between sessions greater than 1 hour per day.
