Program Description
In this program, students will learn to tell visual stories through a combination of mark-making, collage, and text. Students will imagine a story, and create a visual narrative made from lines and shapes that they draw, paint or cut from fabric scraps, paper and other materials. Students will be provided a graphic-novel style template as a starting framework or design their own in order to tell their story. Throughout the program, students will apply basic design elements like color, line, shape and texture in order to tell a story. Students will complete the program with a page or multiple pages of a graphic-novel-style, mixed-media story!
