Program Requirements	At least 10x10 space, gym or auditorium is ideal. Any flooring is OK but wood is ideal. iPod or computer plug or bluetooth in to a speaker. Electrical outlet. One table, access to dry erase marker and board.

About the Artist

Luciana Proaño is a Peruvian dancer and artist dedicated to multidisciplinary and cross cultural work. Her unique aesthetic style shows that her Peruvian heritage and world travels are blended deeply in her subconscious. In Portland since 1993.

Teaching Philosophy

I teach for people to discover something about themselves while enjoying collaboration and community. Mythology fosters open minds in a diverse world where we are a microcosm of that diversity.

Program Description

Learn basic polyrhythms and Peruvian rhythms along with the history of slavery in Peru. This residency will enhance coordination, ear training and collaboration. Please note this style of dance is done mostly a cappella.

This program may be done as a residency or a single session workshop.

In-Person	Residency Session	$133.00	35	A residency is a program with 3 or more sessions per classroom. Residency session prices are based on a 50 minute session. Some artists may prefer different session lengths and will pro-rate the cost.
In-Person	Workshop Session	$143.00	35	Workshops can be one or two sessions per class. Each session is 50 minutes long.
In-Person	Family Arts Night Workshop	$290.00	50	A 90 minute workshop for students and families, typically in the evening or on weekends.
	Planning Meeting	$133.00		An in person planning meeting with partnering teachers is required for residencies.
	Additional Planning	$133.00		Additional planning time with teachers or volunteers, etc.
	Prep Hours	$133.00		Cost per hour spent on activities in support of the program (e.g. setting up/cleaning a classroom, research, curriculum development, etc.)
	Mileage/Travel Costs			Travel time from SW Portland $20/hour. This program is available within 50 miles of Portland. Greater distances possible with additional fees such as lodging, per diem and an out of town fee of $100 per day.
