About the Artist
Angela is a registered occupational therapist and artist. She uses inspiration from various cultures through travels, to create pieces made out of new and sustainably sourced materials. Her main medium is painting, mosaics and upcycled fiber art.
Teaching Philosophy
Angela believes that children learn best through experience. Each student receives a chance to explore and create. This free flowing approach builds confidence, can act as an outlet, and establishes individual identities which strengthens communities.

Program Description
Students will learn the basics of color theory: the color wheel, and the three basic watercolor techniques. Then Students will be encouraged to explore with color and create authentic and original pieces using watercolor to paint various pieces. Students will begin to become familiar with color through exploration to create an abstract piece. Next they will use the skills they've built to create a watercolor resist, tying science with art. For further exploration students will create a piece that embodies the subject matter pertinent to class( be the focus on animals, famous people, buildings, habitats.
