Explorations through Watercolor Less

Learning watercolor techniques and design basics, including the art and science of color, students gain fundamental skills for communication and self-expression. The results are delightful paintings reflecting knowledge of classroom curriculum or art history. This residency serves as a dynamic component in classroom learning. For example, students sharpen observational skills by painting insects, animals, plants or rocks. They tap their creativity by illustrating imaginary machines and cities or making abstract geometry and number compositions. History and world cultures inspire biography portraits or mapmaking and student writing begs to be illustrated.
