Legends From Celilo Falls Less

For 15,000 years the Celilo Falls area along the Columbia River was a vibrant fishing ground, trade center, and home to numerous groups of Native Americans. In 1957, with the construction of the Dalles Dam, the falls and nearby settlements were submerged, leaving behind many stories and memories in its place. Ed tells legends from Celilo Falls where he was raised. He uses puppets, audience participation and gesture to add to the enjoyment to the storytelling experience. As one teacher shared, "Ed Edmo’s, poetry, stories and tales transport us to the realm of tricksters like Coyote and Raven, who gift us with mystery, hilarity and wisdom."

Travel: IRS rate for any location outside a 15-mile radius of downtown Portland.

Venue Requirements: Will need stand mic, boom mic, or lapel mic. Small table for puppets and display.
