About the Artist
Shuhe has been a professional mask maker & performer since 1998 & has worked with many theaters including Tears of Joy, NWCT, OCT. He has taught thousands of students & has developed a unique approach combining art materials and theater exploration.
Teaching Philosophy
Shuhe engages students' intellect & creativity by challenging minds. He uses structure & allows interpretation, fostering critical thinking & growth. His goal is to encourage deep observation into the world around.

Program Description
Students recreate the beak shapes of common birds and construct colorfully feathered avian masks. In an optional second session, Shuhe can lead an exploration of animal movement for mask performance.
This program may be done as a single session workshop. Please note that this program requires an adult to assist the preparation of Paper Mache Paste.
