About the Artist

Nicole is an energetic and upbeat dance teacher known for her vibrant style. Having nurtured students as a studio owner and instructor for over 20 years, she now brings her passion into schools using creative dance as a kinesthetic classroom tool.

Teaching Philosophy

Dance Your Heart Out® engages students of all talents. First, individualized lesson plans are crafted based on teachers' goals. Next, we build a supportive atmosphere. Then students can create choreography and see the connections to their curriculum.

Program Description

This is a chance to make your very own dance! Nicole will show you how. Using fun and uplifting activities that break it down, everyday students will explore one aspect of dance: body action, space, energy, and time. Then Nicole will show them how to combine the segments. By the end, the students will have a dance they can perform.

Dance is an excellent platform for social/emotional learning. It can be done individually as a form of self expression or in small groups to focus on collaboration.

How to Schedule Programs

In-Person	Residency Session	$107.00		Residency session prices are based on a 50 minute session. Some artists may prefer different session lengths and will pro-rate the cost.
In-Person	Workshop Session	$214.00	35	Workshops can be one or two sessions per class. Each session is 50 minutes long.
In-Person	Family Arts Night Workshop	$429.00	35	A 90 minute workshop for students and families, typically in the evening or on weekends.
In-Person	Teacher Workshop	$364.00		A 90 minute workshop for teachers.
	Planning Meeting	$107.00		An in person planning meeting with partnering teachers is required for residencies.
	Additional Planning	$107.00		Additional planning time with teachers or volunteers, etc.
	Prep Hours	$79.00		Time spent on activities in support of the program (e.g. setting up/cleaning a classroom, research, curriculum development, etc.). Plan on 1 hour per classroom.
	Mileage/Travel Costs			IRS rate from Waterhouse neighborhood (N. Beaverton) within 25 miles. Commuting rate of $35/hour for schools 25-50 miles away.
