About the Artist
Originally from Mexico City, she lived in China, Vietnam, India, and Malaysia before setting up her studio in Portland, OR.
Her love for nature has been a signature stamp that she includes in her work.

Program Description
The students will learn to manipulate clay and work with it. Doing hand building techniques like pinch pottery, coil building, and slab building; creating forms without a pottery wheel, using the hands, fingers, and simple tools.
The students will use hand building techniques to build different objects from clay. They will learn to use clay to express their imaginations and document their observations while creating 3D sculptures.

Program Requirements
- Chair for each student, and table big enough for all. Materials: Clay tools kit, water container, sponges, paper towels cardboard 5x5 inches, one per student
