Teaching Philosophy

Believing in the healing power of the arts, the primary goal is to help empower students to find their value and voice. Rachel creates a safe space for learning, an inclusive and supportive environment for empowering education, mindfulness, positive words of encouragement and inspiration. Students discover the joy of dance and music, build self-confidence and mutual respect, and acquire skills in etiquette, cooperation and safety. Students enrich their knowledge in history, geography and cultural traditions by learning dances from countries related to the school community, family origins or curriculum. Students develop greater compassion and empathy, love and kindness, connection and joy, to build strong, healthy, caring communities.
