About the Artist

Peggy is an award-winning teaching artist trained in visual art and textiles. She paints, collages and weaves and has been inspiring students to learn and create since 1995.

Teaching Philosophy

The happy sound of students absorbed in art making; discovering, collaborating and reflecting is what Peggy strives for. Students problem solve through process, understand through imagination and gain confidence through experience.

Program Description

Using color and texture to foster self awareness, students learn collage and design techniques to make an expression of their emotions. This program may be done as a residency or a workshop.

Please note: A minimum of 8 sessions per week required for residencies. A minimum of 4 sessions per week required for workshops.

How to Schedule Programs

In-Person	Residency Session	$96.00	30	A residency is a program with 3 or more sessions per classroom. Residency session prices are based on a 50 minute session. Some artists may prefer different session lengths and will pro-rate the cost.
In-Person	Workshop Session	$140.00	30	Workshops can be one or two sessions per class. Each session is 50 minutes long.
In-Person	Teacher Workshop	$250.00		A 90 minute workshop for teachers.
	Planning Meeting	$96.00		An in person planning meeting with partnering teachers is required for residencies.
	Additional Planning	$96.00		Additional planning time with teachers or volunteers, etc.
	Prep Hours	$96.00		Cost per hour spent on activities in support of the program (e.g. setting up/cleaning a classroom, research, curriculum development, etc.). 1-2 hrs. per classroom (fewer classrooms on the higher range).
	Mileage/Travel Costs			IRS mileage rate charged per round trip from Cedar Hill Library. Drive time longer than 60 minutes per round trip, billed at rate of $50 per hour. Program available within 40 miles of Portland. Greater distances possible with add'l fees (lodging, etc.).
	Equipment Use			Expect equipment use fees determined by scope of the project. $35-$50 per contact.
	Materials Preparation Fee			Expect materials preparation costs for time spent preparing materials outside of program days. $35-$50 per contract.
	Supplies			Supply estimate $3-$6 per student. Costs and availability can be volatile. Check with artist before final budgeting. Supply costs determined by the scope of the project.
